We were walking by and decided to stop in to see what they offered. You can choose a tasting of their straight vodka and gin, or you can do a flight of three cocktails. We chose the flight of cocktails. There is a fairly limited menu of options for the cocktails, but when I asked if there was anything with their chocolate vodka, it was confirmed that there was nothing on the tasting menu, but they would make me a chocolate martini to try it. So glad that was an option because that martini was delicious.

This was our first stop and favourite stop too! We had a cocktail sampler. Miniature delicious cocktails full of punch and flavour. We brought home some of the gin to keep enjoying. Can’t wait to go back!

Outstanding attention and expert knowledge and explanation. These folks are truly artists and craftmans. If you can only visit one distillery in Portland, this is your stop.

Visiting my son in the Portland area and he suggested we change up form Breweries and try a few Distilleries. So glad we did! The venue is pretty cool with the barrels around. The staff is extremely helpful and knowledgeable! You can taste the items straight or they have original homemade mixed items. The Manhattan was awesome! The Coffee Liqueur is equally as awesome! Impressive they make their own bitters for some of the mixes!! Will place this place on my to do list during my next visit!

Location is multi-purpose warehouse where they make, barrel age and taste. 5 shots for $10, then $5 off a purchase. New Deal offers a wide variety of Spirits, Gin, Vodka, Whiskey and a number of speciality items including Ginger - which is their #1 seller. Their Smoked Bourbon is also a cherished selection. Take some home!

This is a great place to hang out and learn about spirits. We had flights of their different spirits and the knowledge of the employees made it a great time.

We stopped here two years ago when we vacationed in Portland; and came back this year to see what was new. This is such a fun place to visit; the staff is so knowledgeable and makes the experience so much fun. Any questions that you may have about the distilling process are quickly answered. You can order a sampler, a cocktail, or a flight of cocktails! We chose to try a sampler this time trying the Distiller's Cut Rum, The Smoked Bourbon, Old Tom Gin, and the Ginger Liqueur. All were excellent; but our absolute favorite was the Ginger Liqueur. The ginger is so bright and fresh; we had to buy a bottle to bring home in our suitcase! The Smoked Bourbon was unique and also a favorite.

The tasting was $1 per sample and they had a nice selection including two Brandys which are not available outside of the distillery. We enjoyed our visit - they have a nice operation.

Came looking for whisky and walked out with a bottle of gin and vodka thanks to the great schooling we got from our server. Totally patient and walked us through each taste pointing out the aromas and flavor notes. When we got there it was packed but they got us a tasting within about 10 minutes with two other couples. One of the couples were already fans of their gin and helps seal the deal. Good experience along the Distillery row tour.

New Deal's distilled spirits are among the very best in the Pacific Northwest, and staff at its tasting room do a terrific job welcoming visitors, providing information and answering questions about the distillery's liquors, and discussing cocktail recipes. A great spot to visit for tourists and locals alike!
