This Free Comedic Walking Tour is currently up and running every day at 11am! For a full schedule of the 2016 tour season, please see the "Tour Calendar" page of our official website.

The last tour of 2016 will be on Tuesday, October 4th. After that the tour will be seasonally closed until May 1st, 2017.

Think of the tour as stand up comedy about Portland's weird and wacky history and culture. Sure to have you laughing the whole way through, this is without question the most entertaining walking tour in town! Come find out why local comedian Erik Kennon's Free Walking Tour is so much more fun than one that costs $20 up front!

The Free Tour starts everyday at 11am on the sidewalk of SW 6th Ave in front of Pioneer Courthouse (across the street from Pioneer Square and the Visitor Information Center.) No reservation necessary! Just show up! The tour meets 7 days a week, rain or shine :-) Look for Erik, who will be wearing his signature neon green "Free Tour" t-shirt. The tour is about 2hrs long and ends in front of Voodoo Donuts, Chinatown, and the Saturday Market. You'll receive insider tips on restaurants and nightlife, and lots of photo ops! Your guide works for tips- you can be assured of the highest quality!

We met Eric at Pioneer Square. Eric started with quick history of Pioneer Square and Portland. We had a medium sized group but all could see and hear Eric. He is very passionate about Portland and it shows in his enthusiasm about his subject. We did a lot of walking but it was done at a nice pace. Eric proivided... More

We were passing through Portland on route to coast. We only had a few hours and participated in free walking tour. Eric was knowledgable, entertaining and provided lots of great Portland history and fun facts. A great time.

Erick was fun and very entertaining. I'd recommend this walking tour. If I was paying for a tour I'd choose one that was solely historic. I'm personally not interested in hauntings or vampire stuff.

Eric, our guide, was quick-witted and very up-to-date on the history of Portland. I was extremely impressed at the quality of the tour. He showed us Pioneer Square and took us to 16 more stops. He was easy to talk to and liked to answer questions from the group. We started walking from the Pioneer Square Courthouse and wound up... More

My wife and I loved this introduction to "Stumptown." I've done almost all of the Portland walking tours, and even the expensive ones don't eclipse the fun and informative value of this free tour. This one's a must, especially if your wallet might be a little light after visiting several of the city's great restaurants. Bring your questions, as guide... More

Loved getting to know Portland better through taking this tour. We had quite an international group participating in the tour... Switzerland, France, Egypt, England, which made it an even richer experience. The guide kept things moving at a pretty good pace. I wish we could have spent more time at the beautiful farmers market but totally understood the time constraints.... More

My friends and I loved this tour of Portland! Erik was an awesome tour guide--funny, passionate, knowledgeable, and helpful. The tour ran about 2.5 hours long, and we had a huge group, probably 30-40 people, but the tour went really smoothly, and we had no trouble hearing or keeping up. It was a great mix of history and culture with... More

Very interesting tour, the guide was amazing and funny. I learned a lot about Portland and felt welcomed to the city even though it was a rainy day. I would suggest it to anyone who comes to Portland, Oregon !

Fun tour, Erik was friendly, helpful and entertaining. Interesting coverage. Approximately 1.2 miles. We were part of quite a big group but could comfortably hear / see / ask questions. Tipped 20 dollars for my wife and I.
