I used to work directly across the street from this statue. It was interesting at first but quickly became just a part of the scenery. Years later I found out the artist somehow copyrighted the piece in such a way that any image is illegal...More

I did not really like this sculpture, but it's iconic and right in the middle of downtown, so you really do have to see it. Worth a look and a photo.

This giant copper sculpture is second only to the Statue of Liberty. Portlandia is a hidden beauty because she is only viewable from some awkward or dangerous angles. For those seeking larger than life metal maidens this gal is a must see.

It's a statue. Nothing more nothing less. Not all that easy to find at that, but easier than the shopping center hidden in a building or two on Morrison. Still, a nice statue in a nice city filled with nice people. Portland, the Vancouver B.C....More

If you aren't looking for it, you won't find the Portlandia statue. Perhaps the only thing cooler than the statue is the plaque (across the street) that describes how she is the spirit of Portland. Worth the five minutes it takes to see it!

This is always an interesting sight as we walk through downtown Portland. Look it up on line for more information on her.

Cool, old school statue, hidden away on the back of a city government building on 5th Avenue and Columbia. Old school sea goddess with a big trident reaching out to greet you (or help you up). If you're visiting the South waterfront, not far away,...More

If you're in the downtown area, this is worth a stop to see. This statue is featured in the opening credits for Portlandia! And it has a very interesting background. Stop by and read up on the signs!

Didn't get the feel of this "attraction" at all... its right in the middle of busy street, no park nearby, to sit and enjoy the view, nothing special about the statue vision wise, its just there... lost time on our side...

When we travel we always make it a point to not walk around new cities or town with our head down or just looking at eye level, this statue is a perfect example of why. If you didn't know where to look and wasn't paying...More
