Also, it's much bigger in person! Definitely fun to see this, especially if you're a fan of the show Portlandia.

Some of the outside art is surprising. The deer over by the courthouse is another. The show is quirky and do try to focus on the better folks in the city

Portlandia is a nice sculpture,as far as monumental works of art go. The horrendous thing about it is the location. It can only be seen from one side of the street. And looks like she is shooting craps, from the pose. A better location would be Tom McCall Park. or in one of the new Park Blocks. You can not see... More

There was much fanfare when this statue came to town years ago.Now the trees are so over-grown it is hard to see this unless you look for it. Make the time! The patina finish is beautiful.

I'm not sure that you need to go out of your way for this, but if you are in the general area, it is definitely worth a look see. Portlandia is pretty awesome when viewed from below, but is best seen from across the street.

When in Portland, try a walking tour. It's awesome to learn about the cool history of the city, including that of Portlandia. She's beautiful.

Before the show of the same name, was this unique sculpture. It kinda looks like a bronzed brown version of the Statue of Liberty. I think it looks okay, but am bothered by it's scale in relation to the building. I think it is definitely visible, but too big. Building seems under oppressive siege, despite the figure's generous pose.

I happened to notice this elegant statue in the heart of the city after a few months of downtown visits. I used to walk in front of this building most of the time and not once I looked up to see the Portlandia lady extending her arm to us. It so easy to miss this sculpture. I wish it was... More
