It's great to see what a little bit of thought can produce in revitalising an area. This was clearly the warehouse district but it has been cleverly re-purposed into a very hip district with a great choice of restaurants, pubs, coffee houses etc. lovely to...More

Great area for shopping, easily accessible by streetcar and metro. Portland is also a very walkable city - nice trot to Nob Hill area. Saturday street market and food trucks from spring through fall.

I kinda get the feeling that The Pearl has had its moment (in some ways). While it still has great restaurants and some fine shopping options, it's clear that gentrification has worked its "magic". Rents are skyrocketing, but there is a lot of construction going...More

I "do" mi cities by walking them... And the Pearl District is such a lovely walk! A myriad of small shops featuring cool and humorous design and fashion, art galleries and lovely places to sip and nibble so one can explore yet some more. Get...More

There are so many places to eat and drink. Check out a brewery or just walk around and shop. There is a lot to do.

Seems to be the 'happening' part of Portland, with many and varied eating, drinking, and retail options.

Funky, redeveloped warehouse district just outside of downtown. Great mixture of original warehouses that have been (lightly) converted to antique / junk shops and restaurants, along with more gentrified retailers.

Fun shops, people to look at, good eats and nice selection of cheap and expensive to suit anyones wants. Paper Source is the bomb!

Pearl District is very close to downtown and a beautiful place. But in the trip I wouldn't leave any piece of Portland behind (not a big city, so bike would take you to most of places). Give South East and North East a... More
