The Oregon Zoo is always a great destination for anyone wanting to get closer to wildlife. Though it seems small, you can easily spend several hours here by visiting all of the exhibits, and the admission cost is very reasonable. They are currently working on...More

The Oregon Zoo has long been a favorite for our family. It's open nearly every day of the year. Some of the exhibits are old and tired and way too small to provide enough stimulation (monkeys, bats, polar bears, to name a few), but there...More

Came here with my family at the recommenation of a co-worker. It was OK. This zoo is certainly quite big with a good variety of animals, but I couldn't help but think it was rather out-of-date. A good number of the animals seemed to be...More

The Oregon zoo offers a great service to local zoologists, Portlanders and visitors alike. The rates are reasonable, exhibits are beautiful and we’ve been buying an annual pass for some time. Great value.

I am from the Denver area and was use to the Denver Zoo. This Zoo is much smaller but a very easy walk especially if you have small children. Several exhibits were under renovation. What we did see was very nice.

Ideally, mid Spring and summer is the best time to visit. Most of the animals are outside and if you don't mind getting wet and cold, then it's OK to visit in winter.
