I was not super amazed by this zoo. It was not easy to get around and the paths were super narrow (probably it would have been ok if there wouldn't have been so many people). But as I said, it was not easy to find where to go and there were so many different ways to go to one place,... More

Cute zoo to visit. Luckily my significant other and I picked the right Friday in April to visit. Sunny and most of the animals were out and about. The animals look well taken cared for and the location was clean. Parking was a little difficult, took us about 15-20 minutes to find parking but overall experience was wonderful, just be... More

I am not a big fan of zoos especially in cities but this one i felt like the animals were being well cared for and they seemed healthy and as happy as they could be outside of their natural habitats.

Moderately priced, good sized zoo with many exhibits. Wish I had more time to explore. I went for about 4 hours and it wasn't enough time. Seemed like a place I could visit again and not get bored. They had a restaurant with ok food(if you have other food options choose those). The map is easy to understand and the... More

What a beautiful place to spend a few hours. Trees and flowering rhododendrons are everywhere. Moss-covered tree trunks, rocks, ferns and greenery make for a lush stroll through an exceptional animal kingdom. Nora is their baby polar bear and playful. There is a baby elephant and parents in one of the largest areas I've seen. The male was swimming and... More

Not sure why but I expected a small zoo in a central Portland park, what we got was 100x better than this. For $15 We spent a solid 3 hours walking around this beautiful zoo. It is clear that the animals here are well cared for and have come from rehabilitation centres after failing to be rehomed back to the... More

I was passing thru on business and wanted to do something different. It was overcast day as I arrived when the zoo first opened. While others have mentioned parking being difficult, there is plenty of parking and an overflow lot as well and yes you have to pay and there are little machines where you have to know your spot... I enjoy animals and being outdoors so thought the zoo might be a good way to spend some time while my husband was working here on business. I just didn't find this zoo to be anything special. Actually seemed a bit boring to me. They also had a confusing pay to park machine that several folks had difficultly using. Also... More

The zoo was fantastic. I was able to rent an electric scooter. It was very easy. It sprinkled and rained several times for a few minutes but there was always a covered pavillion nearby to huddle under. The feedings were fun when we were able to attend. But feedings were often only 15 minutes apart on oppisite ends of the... More

We were able to go through the whole zoo in 2 hours - must have been a record. But what a zoo! Very enjoyable, really a lot of fun. Must see for all ages - they had a lot of animals in great habitats I hadn't seen in other zoos
