I look forward to going every year when the rhododendrons and magnolias start blooming. A nice walking path surrounds the property and makes a wonderful romantic stroll over the water as wildlife cavorts under your feet.

Sure, there are lots of more exciting places to visit in Portland. This is a very peaceful place with lots of ducks and squirrels, with well-maintained gardens. There are several lagoons making for a nice nature walk.

The garden is large and is beautiful, even when the rhododendrons are not in bloom. Plan for a lot of walking and to potentially get a bit lost. It was a great, low-key experience.

Wonderful morning wandering the lush green paths and watching the birds. Parking is limited but we were able to park across the street at Reed. Well worth the $5. Fabulous place to take photos. Lots of paths in sun or shade. Just watch the goose...More

What a beautiful garden for only $5.00 per person, and enough trails, bridges and benches to allow you to relax all afternoon. It was a hot day when we went, but there were plenty of shaded areas and even with quite a few visitors, it...More

While in town for only a short while, we made time for a visit. We enjoyed an early morning stroll through Crystal Springs Rhododendron Garden in southeastern Portland, OR. Well worth a visit!

Due to dreary weather on Mother's Day, my daughters decided to wait a week to celebrate and we ended up with perfect weather for our visit. Many of the rhododendrons were past their prime but not all, and the beauty of the gardens in the...More

For the buds to blooms on the rhodies..... April to first part of August. Yet, anytime is very nice. Even on a rainy day with a great umbrella. It is relaxing and renewing from the busy-ness of life. It is not over... More

I have a group of low-income Seniors that I take out on Fridays to "connect with nature." Is there a discount for Seniors or perhaps a free day for them to view the garden? Thanks for your information.

There is also no admission charged prior to 10AM, if you can get them there early enough, or after 6PM. The park itself is open dawn to dusk. So you still have an opportunity on Fridays.
