This garden just went through an extensive remodel, by adding many new ultra modern buildings with man made moss green roofs. The new ticketing booth was right by the Kingston Ave now, where a modern cascading fountain pool was built. The rocks of the pool was carefully choose that each every one piece looked almost identical. The new gift shop... More

I went to the gardens a few weeks after they opened. I was impressed with the upkeep and over all tranquility of the area. This is a great place to go during the week as it would have a lot less traffic. I went on a weekend and found it a bit busy for my liking. All in all I... More

Beautiful setting and recently they added on some new facilities. Plus, the Rose Garden is right there, too,

This garden was the best of those we visited in Portland. Enjoyable visit although a bit pricey. There was a long line to buy tickets so if we went again, I would buy them online.

Went during the blooming of cherry blossoms on my way back home from work one day. Nice garden, but relatively expensive compared to size.

This is an outstanding garden. My strong suggestion is to go during the week. If you are looking for zen, the weekend is not the time to go.

We loved the Japanese Garden. It was beautiful and very tranquil. The water fall with the koi fish was great. I think it is more adult appropriate then child friendly.

Great view of Portland from the garden. From the parking lot, you. An either walk up (pretty steep) or take the bus up to the top. The bus can not accomodate anything larger than an umbrella stroller. Once in the garden, it's beautiful! Lots of maples and other plants to experience and koi fish to see. Some parts of the...
