After hiking the Coast Guard trail (amazing views), we stopped at the museum. This museum is so well done with amazing artifacts and telling about the history of the coast guard in the area. Highly recommend seeing if you enjoy maritime history.

The Port Orford Lifeboat Station Museum reflects an era when the US Coast Guard rescued ships in peril at sea. Exhibits are very informative. Admission by donation.

Loved the Lifeboat Museum. It provided a history of the area with good displays. Plus, there was a restored life boat outside. We enjoyed the Tower Trail and looking down to where the lifeboats launched. You could just imagine the men going up and down...More
