Great side trip out of the wind! Staffed with knowledgeable volunteers, beautiful house, lots of history, free tours. The staff provided our children with sheets to complete a scavenger hunt, they had a blast and were each given a postcard as a reward.

We debated whether we should stop, but I'm glad we did! The house is perfectly maintained to historic detail. The docents are very knowledgeable and friendly.

This home was built in 1898, and restored fairly recently. It is an interesting look back at our history.

The house itself is interesting, and should definitely be included in a visit to Cape Blanco lighthouse. The insight and information provided by the knowledgable local volunteers was especially appreciated.

A visit to the Hughes House gave us some insight into life in the area in the late 1800s. A tour guide gave us helpful information into the family that built the house and lived there. Admission was free with donations accepted.

Very nice volunteers give tours and tell you the history. Beautifully restored and a good insight into what it was like in the pioneer era.

Tours are available or you can wander through on your own. You will enjoy the antique furniture and get a feeling for ranching in the late 1800's.
