Love the view here of the Oregon coast, been here several times, but today was at high tide and a storm was in, so the waves were just incredible to watch.

This small beach and impressive set of sea stacks is worth a stop on your way along the coast. It's not as dramatic or expansive as stops further south, but has some historic interest as the spot where heavily armed American traders/settlers clashed with the Native Americans in what might be called the battle but was more like a massacre,... We spent an evening here and the beach is beautiful. Sun set views are amazing. Convenient to just stop by and spend sometime since the beach is right across the road from the freeway.

Stopped here during our trip along the 101. Yes, there are many places to stop and tons of great views. Battle Rock sets itself apart from many others by its easy access, parking and walking trails.

This spot has paved pull in parking facing the ocean, a stone wall to sit on, paved walking trails winding through a sloping lawn down to the beach. To the south Humbug Mt. rises 1800 feet straight out of the ocean. There's a manned visitor center to answer any questions that you might have and they have a huge selection... More

Driving south along Highway 101- we saw a sign on a hill, spelled out in the asphalt that there was an Ocean View ahead. When the sign says go- you go! Found easy parking a gorgeous views southward along the Pacific Ocean. Great quick stop!

This is a great stopping place. I was very tempted to have a cocktail at Redfish Restaurant and just get mesmerized by the view but instead I took a walk to the beach. It was a beautiful, warm day however locals tell me this place gets a lot of wind and the view is so expansive that it is a... More

This is a nice little park off 101 in port orford. You can sit at the benches at the parking lot, take a short hike town to the beach, or be adventurous and take a moderate hike up on battle rock. I've done it in dress shoes it's not that bad, but it's not easy either. The weather is a... More
