Just $7 got our family into the state park where the lighthouse was located. We took a lot of pictures and visited the black rock beach where every wave creates a clapping sound over the rocks. My hubby and I returned later for an anniversary...More

Volunteer staff to give history of lighthouse. You get to see all 3 floors and brick basement. Great example of hair art in front room. Gift shop in the bottom is very nice.

There is a steep walk up to the lighthouse which is a part of the light keepers home. The home is a beautifully restored representation of the period home. The lighthouse operated only for a short time 1871-1873. Then Yaquina Head Lighthouse was turned on...More

We love this lighthouse and it did not fail us again! Gorgeous sunset viewing, we saw lot of sea birds, including two bald eagles. Cobblestone beach was beautiful and looking through the tide pools is always fun

The Yaquina Bay Lighthouse area has great views of the Newport Bay bridge. There is beach access. The lighthouse is open only certain days for short hours. Really cool to go inside.

This is a great and good access viewpoint to watch the other side of this bay, specially the bridge. Worth the stop and easy to access in both directions of 101.

Oregon's oldest still-standing lighthouse (c. 1871) is free to tour and open usually from 12-4pm. The light itself is blocked off, but the rooms are open to viewing and decorated in 19th century style. Our kids enjoyed seeing the butter churn, cottage cheese maker, and...More

It says open daily on their web site but it would be hard to believe that it is open in Christmas. It appears it would be open during the rest of break.
