This looks just like a house, we drive right past it, once we realized what it was, we stopped and looked at it, and it was really neat and really old

This lighthouse is one of the few that actually have the house still intact. It is well restored and furnished and gives the visitor a good idea of the life and work of a keeper. The little gift shop has a great variety of items and the volunteer staff are very friendly and helpful. A perfect place to teach children... More

This lighthouse had a very short history but what there was is fascinating. Entry is by donation to the old lighthouse and living quarters. Volunteers in the entry way and in the gift shop are friendly and love to tell about the history of the lighthouse and other lighthouses on the Oregon Coast. There is no access to the lighthouse... This lighthouse has self guided tours, and is a fun quick activity. The lighthouse is beautiful, and they have good educational material.

Even though this lighthouse was only in use for a few years, it still offers a peek into what life was like in the mid-1800's and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It is believed to be the oldest building in Newport. It is Oregon's only wooden lighthouse still standing and it's the only existing Oregon lighthouse... More

The lighthouse is so beautiful. The area around the lighthouse makes a perfect place to watch for whale. Peering out over the cobble beach to the south, you should find seal sunning themselves and sea birds waiting for any scraps of food to scavenge. It is gorgeous, breath-taking, and mind boggling! And there's a ladies' room on the north side... More

This lighthouse is easy to get access to. Just another great lighthouse to visit along the coast. Have to watch the open hours.

The location was free to enter. It is an interesting lighthouse that has be saved overtime even though it was only used for 3 years.

Took a few pictures of the building, a Tall metal modern Coast Guard Tower right next to it. But the parking lot face the jetty and got some great pictures of ships of all sizes coming and going, so that made it all worthwhile.
