Lots of exhibits starting with teeny tiny to huge aquatic life all at eye level for you to see. A touching pool for young and old to enjoy with all kinds of sea life and examples of natural habitat. There is a self serve eaterie and a nice gift shop on site. There are three hotels blocks away. A fun... More

We were going to save our aquarium visit for Monterey, but our son could not wait another month, so we visited. On the plus side it was not crowded, and the guides were very educational. On the downside it was not that big. We enjoyed what was there. This almost got an average.

Amazing close up viewing of Pacific Ocean sea life. The tanks are sparklingly clean. And the sea life is fairly active. It is a great place to take inquisitive children of all ages. The Hatfield Marine Center is also worth sa stop. It is near the dock of the North Pacific base for NOAA.

My husband and I stopped off at the aquarium on a trip to the Oregon coast and really enjoyed our time. The aquarium is smaller than others we've been to, but it's got some great exhibits and is set up nicely. As usual, it's great to catch some of the feeding times. Be sure to spend some time absorbing the... More

I guess it's hard having been to Monterey Bay Aquarium, but the outdoor exhibits puffins and deep sea tunnels are impressive. Plenty to see, but small for the price point. Wish there were more interactive activities for kids and a better cafeteria eatery for break for small children.

My husband and I stopped in Newport on our trip up the Oregon coast. The admission is reasonable for the size of the facility. We enjoyed watching the sea life in the different tanks. The animals all seemed well-taken care of, and the exhibits were attractive and effectively displayed the animals while providing them with close to their natural habitat.... More

The sea specimens are very healthy and tanks are kept immaculately clean BUT the entrance fee is high for what you get to see.
