Serene, beautiful

Great place to hike, bird watch, camp and just be out in the sticks. For an old geezer a bit of a strain, but certainly worth it!

Fairly short and easy climb up to this high point. But well worth the amazing view! We could see 10 snow capped mountains from here. A very pleasant treat for us. I don't know of another place near the Willamette Valley where you can see so much.

My 11 year old daughter and I backpacked and called from Table Rock to Rooster Rock to Peachuck Outlook over a three day weekend. This was a great relationship growing trip for us as Mother and Daughter. My daughter gained confidence in her strength and ability to take care of herself in the woods. And the scenery was spectacular!

The table rock wilderness area is full of amazing things! Hiking, road trips, wildlife, a beautiful river...it has everything! We recently took a hike up to the summit of table rock. The hike was relatively easy, considering how far and high you go. Many spots flattened out and it wasn't too steep along the way. One small part that crosses... More

July 11 - hiked Table Rock today. 11/2 hour drive from portland to get there. Challenging hike over large rocks at times to get to table rock. The table area is not a large space. It's rocky with little shade. Beautiful views, many mountains to see. Get to cross over the rocky area again on the the way down. I... More

It is amazing to go to the top and see all the mountain ranges and how beautiful it is. You are close to heaven up there. The hike is hard and there is a lot of rocks you have to climb over so it may not be the best hike for someone that is disabled or out of shape. It... More

Table Rock isn't really at any city. It's situated roughly central between Estacada, Salem, Detroit and Mount Hood. It takes me about 1:45 to drive to the trailhead from Salem. I found directions to a hike to the top of Table Rock online and took two hikes. The first time was so great that I took a large group the... More
