Awesome place immediately located on the Deschutes River. Trails run throughout the place and can fish on the river! Sites are clean and well maintained with awesome camp hosts who are full of helpful information. Restrooms and showers are decent, but the 30 second auto-off...More

We booked a cabin at this state park largely because of it's close proximity to Newberry Volcanic area and Crater Lake. The cabin was clean and comfortable. The area is high desert and is very dry and dusty. We had pollen dust and sand over...More

La Pine State Park's claim to fame is the supposedly largest Ponderosa pine tree in the world. Yep, it's a big tree at the end of a short gravel road. Nice area by the river. Very bucolic. We went there due to not having anything...More

We didn't know what to expect in this park out in the middle of nowhere. We were very surprised at how big it was and very well kept up. Lots of cabins and and the spaces were large. We were on the Deschutes river which was beautiful.

This year we could not secure a spot in the loop we were in previously but this loop was also quiet and clean with good hosts. I believe it was the oldest loop as the rest rooms were not as large and I was surprised...More

I am headed to Lapine State Park next week and was wondering if there's a problem with mosquitoes or any other kind of bugs? Can anybody help me out with this?
