Drift the Wallowa, Grande Ronde and Snake Rivers with these folks

We took two grandkids on a day trip down the Grande Ronde with these folks. Turn key day with food half way and really fun all day. Worth it in excess.

This was one of the best vacations I have had in a long time. The crew served as our guides, our chefs, our hosts and our constant inspiration. The whole time I was on the river I was completely in the moment, forgetting any worries of the past or future. The food was incredible, the Salmon River beautiful and breathtaking,... More

Our group really enjoyed our time on the Salmon River with Winding Waters! The river was enjoyable, the meals great, and the camp sites amazing.

I made arrangements for four of my guests to go fishing with guides from Winding Waters. Paul and Penny were great to work with for the reservations and the back and forth debate about wether the rain would eliminate fishing on the appointed day. The guests said the guides were fantastic: helped them unhook the fish, gave them tips about... More

Where can one find the deepest gorge in North America where becoming "unplugged' is given a new meaning? That place is the ironically named Hell's Canyon. Sound too difficult? Scary? Too many unknowns? What if I told you that a high caliber, professional, experienced, safety conscious river crew existed in Joseph, Oregon to ensure that, indeed, your biggest task would... More

Simply awesome! This trip is one of those "must do before you die" things. I can't say enough good things about the Hell's Canyon, WWRE and the trip itself. We spent 4 days and 3 nights going down the Snake River. It was sublime. High wilderness at its finest: raw and beautiful. WWRE crew was superb. All of the guides... More

You know what beats Disneyland, Hawaii, Europe, the zoo, museums, opera, Manhattan, even? Running the river with Winding Waters River Expeditions beats all. Why? Because you're seeing some of the most beautiful wilderness left in the North America, learning its stories and history from human settlement to geologic time and you're being safely and competently guided down the river by... Wow wow. Paul and his band of river guides were fantastic. Paul and his crew are the epitome of chilled out. They work very hard all day and night to tend to our needs, but make it seem like play. They could not be more at home on the river than a school of fish. It is like going rafting... More

People are always amazed when I show up with great items I've found locally in Northeastern Oregon. The Winding Waters River Expeditions Boathouse has great stuff for water sports regardless whether it's river rafting. The inventory is very thoughtfully selected; I love my Patagonia long sleeved hooded sun shirt and have taken it around the world for scuba diving. They... More

My wife and I were fortunate to have chosen Winding Waters River Expeditions (WWRE) for a tour through Hell's Canyon in rugged north eastern Oregon. We floated the Snake river for about 85 miles over a 5-day period. Daily river raft sojourns were interspersed with opportunities for guided hikes along scenic canyon trails as well as solo kayaking or paddle... More
