Great stop off route 35. The signage to get there was good from 35 but missing at the top of that road - we needed to go left and then Panorama Point is another left. You do have to watch that it is open from 8am to 6pm. We had gone to taste wine at Wy'East vineyards and got there around 5:30pm. We walked up to the deck on the structure and got some good pictures of Mt. Hood and its surrounds. Well worth a stop.

Greetings, esteemed readers! Tis I, Cherry Wonderdog, who takes pen to paper to recount my recent sojourn at the illustrious Panorama Point in Hood River, Oregon. Pray, permit me to regale you with tales of a canine's utmost delight!
Panorama Point, with its verdant landscapes and majestic splendor, is a veritable canine utopia. It offers an exquisite reprieve, where hounds and their companions may frolic amidst nature's enchantment. The park's expansive grounds and meticulously tended trails are an ode to both functionality and aesthetics, facilitating seamless navigation for both human and hound.
The pièce de résistance of Panorama Point is undoubtedly its panoramic vistas, which bestow upon the fortunate spectator a visual feast. Ascending to the pinnacle reveals an awe-inspiring tapestry—stretching far and wide, the resplendent Columbia River Gorge unfurls before one's eyes, flanked by verdant hues that bespeak nature's grandeur. Such vistas afford the opportunity for indelible memories and splendid photographic keepsakes.
Amidst these rhapsodic surroundings, an air of tranquility pervades Panorama Point. The absence of unruly crowds allows one to savour the serenity that emanates from this idyllic haven. It is a realm that beckons both the energetic canine, keen on frolicking through the verdant trails, and the leisurely companion, yearning for an ambling promenade. Here, amid nature's embrace, one finds respite from the bustling cacophony of quotidian existence, a sanctuary wherein canines and their kindred spirits may find solace and rejuvenation.
Perchance, one desires knowledge of the park's open hours. Panorama Point welcomes its visitors from the early hour of 8:00 AM, extending its gracious hospitality until the late evening hour of 8:00 PM. Verily, it is prudent to consult the heavens and ascertain the weather's disposition afore embarking, for inclement weather may cast aspersions upon the park's accessibility and visibility.
Whence thou art a local denizen or an itinerant wanderer, I beseech thee to include Panorama Point in thine itinerary whilst in the vicinity of Hood River, Oregon. It is an escapade that promises beguiling vistas, unforgettable experiences, and the opportunity to forge an unbreakable bond with one's faithful quadruped companion.
Secure thine leash, don thy stoutest boots, and set forthwith towards Panorama Point—forsooth, a realm of unfettered natural splendor that shall leave both thee and thy cherished canine companion yearning for an encore!
With paws held high, I extol Panorama Point's magnificence!

Panorama Point is worth the short detour off of highway 35. From the Point, you can see Mt. Adams to the north and then the beautiful fruit valley of Hood River with Mt. Hood to the south. Gorgeous view. For the best picture, go in early morning with the sun behind you as you will be looking southwest and by 11:00 the sun will fade out some of your photo angles. The view any time of the day is worth stopping.

After running around the Fruit Loop and doing a few tastings, buy a bottle of your favorite and head up to Panorama Point for a breathtaking view of the entire valley and a great view of Mt. Hood. You can also see Mt. Adams in the opposite direction. Simple, but awesome venue. Picnic tables and restrooms available.

Great place to stop and take in the views of the Hood River Valley. Scenic drive thru the valley with orchards and rolling hills to get here. You can drive to the top and take photos!

Breathtaking views enjoyed by our family on a pit stop home from Portland. Quiet and serene setting that we took lots of photos of.

Recommend going to this park to have a great view point of both mountains - Hood (south) and Adams (north).
Look for signs to park on Hwy 35 just south outside Hood River

Dropped by this area today and the gate was open to drive in! Great views of Mount Hood in the backdrop while upfront are the green farmlands and orchards. No trash lying around the bathroom area and plenty of parking.

The park is closed. You can walk up through the gate and see the view of Mt. Hood but everything is growed up and there was garbage everywhere when we were there. There is also a private resident up there too. You can see Mt. Hood from the highway just as clear and stop at some of the orchards to also see the mountain and meet wonderful people,

Park is "closed" but you can still park by the gate and walk in. Excellent views of Mt Hood and pretty views of the fruit orchards below. The drive to and from is very scenic.
