Franco Marchesi's passion for wine began in his hometown of Borgosesia, Peimonte, Italy. As a child he always wondered what it would be like to be a winemaker like his grandfather Achille. After running his own import company specializing in Italian wines for over 20 years, Franco began planting his favorite Northern Italian grapes in Hood River, where the climate and soil are just like Northern Italy. Please come visit, and taste our wines. Salute!

The winery itself is quite lovely and very comfortable. Lots of outdoor tables and beautiful vinyard views. We loved their Novella wine, which was like a Beaujolais, but made with merlot grapes. None of their wines were disappointing. More importantly, the owners are passionate about...More

We loved this winery. The patio was beautiful. There were misters to keep us cool since it was so hot. The breadsticks were awesome. The wine was also very good.

This was a great stop. We enjoyed a glass of wine and appetizer plate in the patio area which overlooks the vineyards and the mountains. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Visit and stay a bit to enjoy the views and wines.

Loved the red flights and setting outside by the vineyard with decent views. Son of owner very knowledgeable and even gave us a pour of the reserve they won awards for that wasn't on the flight. A little bread cheese and salami paired well.
