There are so many beautiful places to pull out and explore along the old highway within the gorge. The waterfalls are so amazing, you are sure to return.

We spent the better part of two days seeing the things along the gorge and the roads into Hood River. We saw natural beauty and man-made improvements.

Really enjoyed our drive/stay in the Columbia River Gorge. Beautiful sights with a number of good wineries (we especially enjoyed Maryhill). Stayed in Hood River which was also very nice...a good variety of things to do and great restaurant choices. We'll be back!

We would highly recommend the scenic route 30 byway. Stop at all of the falls & take plenty of pictures. We were in awe of the beauty.

I agree with the other posts. I always pack in layers and I would advise you to do the same. Even bring some rain gear, like a small folding slicker of some sort, just in case. Oregon has very unpredictable weather.
