If you have any interest in aircraft and their evolution, this is the place to visit other than the Smithsonian Air & Space in DC. An amazing collection of pre WW II aircraft, many of which were limited production. Good explanations for each plane. Many...More

This museum is an amazing find in Hood River, Oregon. It is filled with unique, flying antique aircraft, many of which are one of a kind. Others are serial #1. The airplanes look like showroom quality, attesting to the amazing handicraft of the restorers. You...More

Thank you for the review. At WAAAM we have a restoration shop for both cars and airplanes so that we can keep our fleet up and going. To see all our latest in-progress work, visit during one of our Second Saturday events.

We could not believe the quality of exhibits in this museum. The care and attention is obvious and the docents are great. All under one roof with a wide assortment of planes, motorcycles, cars , memorabilia etc.

The variety of preWorld War airplane styles as innovators tried new ideas to overcome other problems is interesting. The condition of the ready to fly or drive items is astounding. The passion of the owners and volunteers is really evident, making this a great stop...More

Yes. Taking photos is highly encouraged and the volunteer hosts out on the exhibit floor are often more than happy to get you behind the display ropes for a super-up-close shot too.
