We didn’t know what to expect but we were absolutely blown away with the collection, volunteers and the layout. One of the better museums we have ever had the pleasure to visit. For only being in existence for (I think they told us) 10 years,...More

Thank you for reviewing. WAAAM opened September 7, 2007, with just 42 airplanes and a small handful of cars. Now there are over 350+ large objects in our 3.5 indoor acres of collection to see and enjoy.

What a neat place. This museum has 3 acres inside multiple hangers to display the antique. We were told that all of there displays are funtionable. They had a lot of unique planes, cars and motorcycles. This is a hidden jem.

Thank you for the review. To see the collection in action, visit during the Second Saturday of the month between 10am and 2pm. WAAAM flies and drives some of the collection during this time. These special days are a great, hands-on way to experience history.

For such a small town this is an amazing museum..vintage cars and planes. I especially enjoyed the self paced tour and how close we could get to the vehicles. It was a special thrill to be there for a fly in day and watch the...More

Thank you for reviewing. On the weekend after Labor Day, WAAAM hosts the Annual Hood River Fly-In. This event is a great way to see even more antique and classic airplanes flying about the area in addition to the museum fun.

My wife and I visited this museum when it was only about three of four years old. There was already a nice collection of mostly civil aircraft, antiques cars and trucks and a wing of about a dozen WW II Jeeps of various models and...More

Thank you for reviewing. Even folks that visited us last year are surprised by how much we've continued to grow and continued to enhance out displays. Every six months or so we shuffle the collection around so that we can tell different stories with our...More

We had a dinner there for an event we attended. With all that was going on for the event, we didn't have time to walk through the museum, just passed through to the dinner location. It looked like they had some very interesting airplanes and...More

Someone recommended this place to us. Are we glad they did! Three and a half acres indoors of planes, cars, and motorcycles. So much to see! They place cars next to planes of the same era. Brilliant. You will not be bored here! Every car...More

Thank you for the review. WAAAM's collection focuses on the Golden Age of Transportation and Aviation - roughly the 1910s through the 1950s although the automobiles do get up into the 1960s and '70s. With such a range there is always something for everyone to...More

Thank you for the review. As you mentioned, with our 3.5 acres of displays space being entirely indoors, WAAAM is a great way to take a break from the great out doors - rain, shine, snow, whatever - we'll be open for visitors.

Yes. Taking photos is highly encouraged and the volunteer hosts out on the exhibit floor are often more than happy to get you behind the display ropes for a super-up-close shot too.
