A Working Pacific Basin

Love walking along the docks in this real working basin. Plenty of opportunity to dine in, buy fresh seafood or go deep sea fishing with the local charters.

Enjoyed walking along the piers and viewing all of the boats and local life. Plenty to photograph and great fish smells galore. Crab pots, oyster shells, and cultural bounty.

Series of piers in the bay where you can see fishing boats and shop at the fish shops for the fish in season. There is also the coop were the fishermen sell their catches after they have sold all they can to the fresh fish companies that sell in Portland. Canned albacore is available. Nice mixture of sea salt, historic... More

There are lots of boats and other marine activities, but you can also take the train on a short ride ($18, and apparently not the greatest reviews on Trip Advisor, so check it out first) and you can watch the train personnel (engineers) fiddle around with the locomotives, train cars, etc. We got some good videos of this and the... We stopped by the basin after dinner,it is very clean.I have not been here in years ,I can't believe how much it has grown,my family grew up here and it seems twice as big,I really enjoyed walking around on the docks and thinking about the past, many fond memories there.

The Garibaldi Boat Basin in Garibaldi, Oregon in a nice area with some nice shops and places to eat. The Oregon Coast Railroad is right next to Boat Basin and its a fun trip on a old steam Engine.

A great place for fishing, clamming, kayaking or just plain relaxing. Camping spots nearby as well as a great beach only a few minutes away for long walks and building forts. Walk around town and checkout the town, food drink, several places to have meals while you play. People real friendly.
