Enjoyable course with lots of variety through the eighteen holes. Be happy if it is foggy, because that will mean it won't be windy.... if the sun is out and the wind is blowing, that makes this course much more difficult! I'm not sure if outlawing golf carts in the parking lot is the most efficient method of loading/unloading.

Played the course the end of May in nice, sunny weather without too much wind. They say to avoid later afternoon play due to high winds. Although there is not alot of break for the forward tees, as a relatively high handicapper, I found the course very playable and enjoyed it. The staff was very nice and course condition was... More

Under the guise of improved customer service, the new general manager has outlawed golf carts in the parking lot. The problem is, there's been no improvement in customer service. Only two of the cart guys, Jim and Steve, are doing anything. The others just complain and then get free golf for standing around. Management did nothing to earn buy-in to... More

Very pleasant place to get outdoors and enjoy the fresh sea air. We enjoyed their low March rates and some sunshine too. This course is usually not very crowed so it's easy to get a last minute tee time!

Went down to play Sandpines for my birthday. Started of with the Pro giving me a cool poker chip ball marker and yardage book for my birthday! Very nice. Then the course! I'm actually mad at myself for not playing it sooner. I knew it was a top rated course since opened. Just never made the effort to play it.... More

Beautiful scenic course and was in excellent condition. This course is challenging and requires some course management if you want to score well. The greens rolled very true, unfortunately I had a hard time reading them, but that has more to do with my own issues with putting. This course was so dry and firm I could not believe it... More

EXcellent golf course; tough, but fair. Can't believe how good a shape it was in for the winter. We did hit good weather; as we have been there when the wind did you in. We will go back.

The course is in great condition. The winter weather is usually warmer on the coast than in Portland. So we are happy to come down to Sandpines and pay less than $30 a round. The only downside is the beautiful restaurant/bar are not open during the week, so get there on the weekends if you want to stick around for... More

This is a follow up review. Was one of our favorite courses for 4+ years. Went downhill slowly. Under new ownership now. THEY HAVE PLANTED GRASS!!!! The fairways were totally coming back! No moving your ball around to find grass anymore. The greens were perfect. Maintenance was superb! This is a total gem people! Many holes are in the trees... More

We have loved this course over many years and each visit to Oregon we travel to Florence to play Sandpines. This year was a crushing disappointment. The course was in awful condition - particularly bald/scarred patches on the fairways, strange grasses on the greens making them bobbly and inconsistent. This course felt neglected. Making matters works, 4 painfully slow hackers... More
