Open Saturdays 10-5 from April-mid November. Each Saturday Lane County's favorite artisans, chefs and musicians bring their creations to Saturday Market, Eugene's weekly open-air Marketplace, creating a vibrant event that nurtures local commerce and community. Founded in May of 1970, Eugene's Saturday Market is Oregon's original Saturday Market, and the oldest weekly open-air crafts festival in the United States.

Wander among the 200 booths filled with fine handcrafts, always sold by the artisans themselves. Jewelers, potters, seamstresses, candle makers, glass workers and many more bring their arts to sell. The International Food Court features seventeen food booths serving a wide array of foods prepared fresh on site, including burritos, pad thai, pizza and cheesecake. The Market Stage showcases local and regional musicians playing everything from original folk to jazz, Celtic music to rock-and-roll all day long. Lane County Farmers' Market is just across the street each Saturday. Two nearby parking structures provide plenty of free parking, and the area is fully wheelchair accessible.

Be prepared to meet a huge diversity of life styles and views. From new age WooWoo to conservative approaches, though the hippie, spiritual, organic life choices dominate. You will be exposed to cannabis society so, if you're uncomfortable with this part of Oregon then be aware. Bright colors, beautiful crafts of wood, paint, glass, fabric and just about any other... Every spring I anticipate the opening of Saurday market and go there every Saturday that I am in town. It is quintessential Eugene. Lots of people, food booths, fruits and vegetables. The produce is outstanding and many vendors to choose from. I watch the seasons of from spring to fall through the produce and flowers at Farmers Market. I try... More

Saturday market is a friendly fun mix of craft-people, entertainers on a live stage, and a central food stall area all located in a small city park downtown. Across the street there's a vibrant farmer's market with beautiful seasonal organic produce and other artisan farm products. We try to go around lunch time and grab a bite or three. A... More

Lots of local produce, craft items and food, all with a unique, Eugene ambiance. A wonderful way to spend a Saturday getting to know the local scene. One of the longest-running markets in the country.

We only had about an hour to peruse the market. We were traveling, so didn't need to buy food, but if I lived here, I'd make this a weekly stop! Interesting craft booths with art work and jewelry... Certainly a nice way to spend a Saturday afternoon!

The Eugene Saturday Market, with its eclectic mix of crafts, food and "hippy" clothing, has been around for over 40 years. It is a great place to purchase unique items for yourself or for gifts. And just across the street is the Saturday Farmer's Market with fresh produce, meat, flowers and home made canned goods to rival the best you... More

I have lived all over the Northwest and attended Saturday Markets in many cities. The Eugene Saturday Market is the best in my view. The only thing that compares is the Pike Place Market in Seattle. What I like about the Eugene Market is the variety both in the fresh food and the art. The food cart selection is very... More
