Enjoyed staying nearby and seeing the bridge in the morning fog. Crossed this bridge into Washington and visited the small museum near by about the damming of the Columbia River. Love the history of the gorge.

Speed limit is 15 MPH, and when driving across the first time I was ready for the bridge to give way and plummet into the river below. I guess I was expecting something different but it's perfectly safe. Gotta pay the $2 toll both ways but no better way to get across the Columbia.

Try to see this from both the Washington and Oregon sides. There's more services on the Oregon side in Cascade Locks, but a small turnout east of the bridge on the Washington side has a glorious view of the bridge and river.

Nothing really spectacular as a bridge, but the view from the bridge is nice. Check it out if you're in the area.

$2 each way to cross. Worth it. Have your camera ready to take some pictures. Several breweries within a few miles of bridge.

Drove over the bridge to Stevenson, WA and back for a sightseeing trip. $2 toll each way! Nice view of the gorge coming and going.

I really enjoyed my drive about the Colombian River and the small towns that dot the way but decided my loop back to Portland would be over this bridge to Cascade Locks and then towards Oneonta Gorge and Multnomah Falls. The toll was cheap. Only a dollar or two. Very reasonable.

Went across this bridge sooooo many times during our trip. Beautiful view. Feels odd to drive over the metal grill base. Scary when pedestrians are on it too, as it's not that wide and there is no dedicated path for them. Replaces a natural bridge that was formed hundreds of years ago after a mass landslide. On the OR side, the parking lot at the base (in Summer) has fresh fruit and fish stands. We bought a 2lb salmon and grilled it at home. Best salmon I've ever had.

The bridge is spectacular to view from our hotel and a great photo op, but walking it late in the afternoon / evening is the way to truly experience it

It's a bridge. There's a $2.00 toll. I drove the Washington side of the Gorge from Vancouver and crossed here, then drove the Oregon side back to Portland. Made a good area to turn around for an afternoon drive through the Gorge Scenic area. Views are good from the bridge.

You can walk across it. Be careful as you share the bridge with vehicles and cyclists. You have to walk against the traffic. It is free to walk across.
