It was a majestic looking lighthouse way out in the water on its rock island. It looked quite eerie with all the waves crashing in the foreground. Cool setting and great for pictures.

We viewed Tillamook Rock Lighthouse from the beach and from the bluff on a hike in Ecola Park. You can make the case that it's just a lighthouse, but it's location on a remote island expresses the difficultly of construction and the solitude of its...More

Hey it's a lighthouse! You can see it, but you cannot touch it. Oh well, its cool anyway. Go to Oregon, they need your money!

Even though the lighthouse is way out in the ocean, the adventure was going on a hike to get the best view. Glad I got to see it. It was just a mother/daughter hike. Trip advisor didn't provide that option.

It was nice to see the lighthouse but cannont access the island. Viewing from Ecola State park & Cannon Beach area was about as close as you can get.

On a rock out off the coast of Cannon Beach, Oregon and viewable from several places along a few miles of coastline, this light house is not accessible by land (nor sea it would seem). But it's a nice photo op.
