Nice beach

Oregon coast is pretty windy most of the time, this beach is nice because its surrounded by two walls/mountains so it makes it a good barrier from wind.

The parking is difficult and the road to Hug Point steep but well worth it. Absolutely beautiful and the caves are very interesting.

Our hotel recommended that we drive 2 miles from Cannon Beach to Hug Point. Easy walk down to the beach from the parking lot and the views and caves and waterfall and miles of beach are so spectacular. Definitely a place to see on the Oregon Coast!

You could easily pass by this park but don't! This is a gem of a park that is right off the freeway and is a step into the past. Before the highway, stagecoaches would travel along the beach. At this point they had to hug the rocks to get around the point at low tide. The ruts from the stagecoach... More

Great beach park surrounded by cliffs. About ten minutes south of Cannon Beach. Separated into two sections by a point. Watch going between sections when tide is coming in or you might get cut off with no easy way back to parking area. The parking area is at a relatively steep level and the last 30 feet to the beach... More

You can see the ruts left from the many wagons that had passed this way. A short walk from the parking lot and able to see caves and lots of animal life. The sea anemones were plentiful. Was a great place to spend some time.

Hug Point was recommended by someone in town and I am so happy they told us to head there. The walk on the beach was incredibly beautiful and quiet. We visited Haystack Rock after and there was a ton of visitors on holiday. Hug Point is dog friendly and has beautiful views on the coast with great coastline to walk.

After driving for a few hours it was good to get out and walk along the beach. Some nice views to be seen here and great to just unwind.

Took a nice long walk along the beach, also explored tidal pools, caves, interesting rock formation, etc. many sand dollars! It was so beautiful, and intriguing during our visit during a low tide hours. We are not that good at picture taking, but the view will make us look like expert photographers.

This is a nice view point for some rocks and beach kinda photos. It is right off the highway so very easy to access.
