Scenic Point

Hug Point is a lovely spot for scenic vistas and picnicking. There was a couple on the beach having engagement photos taken while we were there.

What a beautiful beach with all sorts of nooks and sea caves that are accessible during low tide. The water was cold, but it sure was refreshing on tired feet. this is a great place to soak of nature and great photo ops abound!

The sandy beach is heaven but it also has caves, a waterfall, rock formations, and loads of stones to sift through. Watch the tide as it might keep you stranded if you walk down the beach and find it has crept up to the rocks at the edge. Lots of parking. Easy walk to the beach down some stairs. The... More

This state park was super fun to visit. The waterfall was flowing (early October) and was beautiful. The beach didn't have many people on it and it was fun to explore the different caves. It is free, but note that parking might be tight on busy days. There were some small tide pools that were fun to explore.

This is such a beautiful beach. The cliffs and rocks are fantastic. We loved exploring the small cave inlets and climbing on the rocks to get really great photos.

Hug Point is a special place. Best to go when the tide is out so that you can go around points. Cute little waterfall, caves, and history.

This was an unplanned stop. It has a small parking area and bathrooms. There are steps to get to the beach. It was freezing cold, and a jacket and hat would have been super. Beautiful scenery and clean. We were there during low tide, and it has plenty of beach to walk. It was worth the stop.

Worth the hike (30 minutes from car to caves) at low tide. Not good for handicapped person, walking is required. Fantastic caves to view, small water fall, beach hidden around the point.

This is a wonderful beach just south of Cannon Beach. There are some really cool caves that you can check out, and you can actually walk around the point on the same path that wagons of yesteryear used for travel. Super cool, and not crowded. If you are in the area, check it out. You won't be sorry.

Great spot to take kids at low tide to explore tide pools without long walk. Bathrooms close. Caves to explore. At high tide little sand and mostly rocks.
