Unless you have some lifelong desire to see this, I'd skip it. Parking is extremely limited and hard to find, and we didn't see any services at the beach. We spent five minutes, took a picture, and left. I'd recommend the beaches at Cape disappointment...More

Spent three evenings at Haystack Rock for the sunsets. Each night was different and if you like photography, this is the place to be at sunset!

Haystack Rock took me back to my childhood, watching Goonies! There is a another "haystack rock" in Pacific City (?) that is actually larger, I think. It is a huge rock surrounded by a beautiful soft, sand beach. Parking in the town was a bit...More

Check with your hotel/host about tidal times, then make the short walk to Haystack Rock to view the tidepools and marine life. Great for children!

Took a scenic drive to the famous Cannon beach and Haystack rock from Portland and then to Seattle. We did not regret the worthwhile detour to this amazing view of Haystack rock and the many other domed rocks near this unusual wonder. Worth the drive.

Stunning views, goto Ecola State Park. Provides the perfect place for easy parking, costs ($5), but the view from the location is awesome. Don't miss the lighthouse while your there.

On the south end of Cannon Beach is Tolovana State Park with a parking lot next to the beach. It can handle your RV but the lot fills early . There is also an RV parking area in downtown Cannon Beach behind the visitors... More
