This is one of the best kept secrets of the Oregon Coast. This 18 hole, world class course is tucked away on the banks of the Chetco river near Brookings, OR. Highly recommend. My son and I( I am a hackwer and my son is a college team golfer, handicap +2) went here for a round and were very impressed. Some of the fairways are tight so bring a few extra balls. We played Bandon Dunes the same week and we both enjoyed Salmon Run quite a bit more.

Fun course, LEAVE your driver in the car. Course will play well if you place your Irons. Fairways and greens in great shape. Senior Discounts after 1PM. Lots of elevated tees. Deer in most fairways.Very enjoyable afternoon. Usually Sunny when Brookings in clouds.

Greens are dying fairways are uneven and you should not waste your'e money.!!!!!! I did enjoy the wildlife and the views . I asked why the fairways looked so bad and was told volunteers cut them. I was also told the greens always die in the summer do to water problems. The staff was helpful and pleasant , but the course was in bad shape !!!!

This course is awesome! Seemingly carved out of the jungle, this course encapsulates golfing in Oregon. Paved trials lead to differently elevated tee boxes that make you feel completely engulfed in Oregon wilderness, once there a very nice, green ,lush, well manicured golf hole emerges. Hole after hole comes this way, with wildlife abundant, and natural beauty everywhere, this is truly an Oregon paradise! We played this course the day after a 2 day hurricane like storm, and the greens were still firm, and true rolling! This course is a pinpoint golfers dream. Every hole is beautiful, and very challenging. With an island green, elevation changes, dog legs, drive-able par 4's, very cool par 3's, and par 5's that make you think, this course has all the goods that golfers of every level will enjoy. The staff inside the clubhouse is friendly and courteous, and they have a great selection of merchandise.I will be coming back to this treasure, and you should too!

This was a "fill in time" golf outing. Its tough to call this a golf course but rather maybe titled "a walk in the fields"?

Ok here's the scoop......
18 hole course built into the mountains east of Brookings
If you can handle target golf then this is a Mecca !!!
It's on its 2nd owner and needs some TLC.
But it will still kick yo butt even in its rebuilding raggedness
It's CHEAP compared to Bandon area ...
Do not overlook this Raggy little gem

Brand new owners are working hard to upgrade this gorgeous course. Woods, wildlife, gorgeous vistas abound. Hit 'em straight or kiss 'em goodbye! This one is worth coming back to, for sure!

Great muni course. Challenging in places, reasonably priced. Beautifully integrated into the hills with a few water holes. We did pre-book a time to make it easier online, would have played twilight for a lower price, but wanted to be back in time for early dinner with the folks. Greens were good, fairways reasonably well maintained. Only negatives, the clubhouse was pretty lackluster, or basically nonexistant, but you can just drive back to the main highway and find a great GastroPub, OxenFre http://www.oxenpub.com/ Also, the driving range was inexpensive, but not great mats. If you are in the neighborhood, I would recommend stopping in for a round.

I would recommend this beautiful spot for any function. I would never recommend dealing with Ed. This man was horrible, unprofessional, and down right rude most of the time. But Zack, Nathan, and Chris we the best. They took the time to help they made our rude experience with ed a great wedding. For the price of the venue you would expect the guy who was in charge of the planning to return your calls. I never recieved one call from him. But my daughter was a beautiful princess and if I had to bite my tongue to see her that happy again I would.

Salmon Run is a beauty of a tough to play Golf Course. The Fairways are very narrow and course knowledge or a sharp eye is needed to know where to play the ball for a good roll or lie.
Many holes require the use of a small wood for a good safe tee shot or one that will not run through the landing area and into the rough.
The greens are a grass which does not even look like grass. Not always green like a longer grass but putt pretty true to break.
Two of the par 3's are elevated tees and require less club than you think.
Very interesting terrain and creek bottom built course with water crossings and lots of brush and timber.
One word of warning on number 1 tee box. Use your 5 wood so you won't go through the fairway and into the timber. Have fun and play your irons.
