I've been to these falls many times in the past. However, this time the restroom toliets were not functioning at all. The water had been turned off ad it was incredibly unpleasant. Other than that, the falls were great. Not too many people and we...More

I could not find an existing entry for the Falls, so to be clear...I am writing strictly about the gorgeous falls. We went on 3/31/17 and there was still snow here and there in the shadows on the road. Parking lot on a Friday during...More

This waterfall is spectacular and very picturesque! It is right off of the freeway on the way to Portland, Oregon and is easily accessible. One can view the falls from either of two levels. Springtime moss abounds on the rocks and trees all around. There...More

Sure you can grab a quick picture of the waterfalls from the parking lot but, the hiking trail is well trecked and is beautiful. Take the hour or so to hike up and back and enjoy the views. If you are more of a hiker...More

We had a family adventure - ages 64 to 5yrs old and all enjoyed the hike up and down. Go early to avoid the crowds. Dogs welcomed.

The path is always open. The shops close. We were there at before sunrise and there were other people there as well.

Depending on the snow melt, the flow of water can impact your choice of 'better.' Multnomah is taller and has better photo opps. Hiking paths are also better.
