We only had one day to drive roundtrip from Seattle to Portland, with a detour to Multnomah Falls. It's about 1 hour each way out of the route, but I am extremely glad we went. On the drive up the mountain, we passed Horsetail Falls and Oneonta Gorge before getting to Multnomah Falls;both were nice to get out and look... More

Tried to do this during the summer on a weekend and couldn't even get a parking spot. Trying again in the off season during the week was the key. Tons of parking available. Very rainy, as was expected so be sure to have a raincoat and good shoes that you are willing to get muddy. Hiked to the top, 11... More

This place had been on my wish list for a long time. I had seen pictures and I knew I had to visit it at some point. The opportunity came last month when it was not only my birthday but also my husband's and I wedding anniversary. I wanted no gifts, all I wanted was to come here. And so... More

My wife, 12 year old daughter and I visited Multnomah Falls on Tuesday, April 11, 2017. I highly recommend making the 30 mile drive East of Portland to see this place. I suggest driving more on Hwy 30 instead of I-84 because you will see even more waterfalls! Spring time is perfect for waterfalls because they are flowing big time!... More

You should definitely visit this falls, the best views are from below and from the stone arch bridge. We did do the 1 mile hike up to the top and it's great exercise but not worth the view in my opinion. The Latourell falls is worth the hike if you take the trail on the left going up. The right... This is a really spectacular walk-up view of a very impressive water fall! Seriously!!! But, I still think the 6mi loop easy trail hike is very worth it - more falls and beautiful views.

I love waterfalls and this one tops my list! I felt like I was in a dreamscape. There are trails and bridges which offer different vantage points. You get so close to the waterfall that your face is misted by the falling water. Mossed trees swoon above with their own artistic expression. It's truly a mystical, magical area. I found... More

I have been to Multnomah Falls twice (June and October) and both times I was amazed with its majesty and impressive power. It is a must stop when in the Portland, Oregon area. The avid hiker can hike all the way to the top to see many beautiful views, but the sights from he bottom of the falls are quite... More
