Our flight landed in Portland so before heading to Astoria we decided to go and view the falls. Unfortunately it happened to be a Saturday and it was heaving with people. Literally arguments over parking spaces and ignorant drivers just stopping dead and waiting in...More

Stopped here on our tour of Oregon. Very beautiful falls cascading over 300 feet down into the stream below. Great vantage points for viewing and pictures. Recommended.

Multnomah may be the famous site, but our favorite was Bridal Veil. All of the sites have a short walk to a beautiful viewpoint and more challenging hikes on trails. You can see all the sites in an afternoon and add in one of the...More

What a wonderful way to spend a few hours! It was difficult to find parking, but other than that, the walk was really relaxing. Interesting things to see at every turn and the gushing waterfall was stunning.

Really enjoyed this half day trip to see the falls plus some others. It is so worth it and they are all easy hikes unless you go the full distance on this one!!! Beauty at its finest!!

Multnomah Falls includes 3 separate drops for total of around 650 feet. It is Oregon's most recognisable waterfall. Located around 40 min drive outside of Portland

I hiked the path from Wahkenna Falls across to this and was not disappointed. This came with the added benefit of seeing the falls from the top and finding the many other smaller falls on the way down. To make this entire hike will take...More

The path is always open. The shops close. We were there at before sunrise and there were other people there as well.

Depending on the snow melt, the flow of water can impact your choice of 'better.' Multnomah is taller and has better photo opps. Hiking paths are also better.

It's a little breezy on the trail as it is shaded and a little misty. We still took the short hike to the observation bridge wearing only shorts and T-shirts and were very comfortable. If you struggle with it being cooler... More
