We love small lakes with no motor boats, so it is one of our favorite lakes to spend time camping and fishing and hiking ..

This place is a super find, fishing-swimming-restaurant-rental boats and equipment for all, no power boats allowed. Good restaurant and store. Rental cabins available with advanced reservations recommended.

A great place for a family picnic. The water is warm enough to swim in during the summer months, there are beaches for children to play on and the lake is just the right size to float a kayak or rubber raft on for a...More

All of the Cascade Lakes are beautiful. South Twin is no exception. Clean campground and close to La Pine, OR. if you need to run to the store.

Great quiet lake in the high desert. The small lodge and store has what you need and the staff is very friendly. Will go back and camp next time.

We stayed at West Twin Lakes Campground. The reservoir was dry but South Twin Lake did have water. It was really pleasant and peaceful time of year to go.

Both of these lakes are wonderful. In fact ALL of the Lakes on the High Cascades Highway are some of the most beautiful ACCESSIBLE and pure lakes! the US has to offer. Check all of them out!

This lake is great. No motor boats allowed so you can swim across the lake. There is a beach, kayak rentals, restaurant, store, camping and cabins. Great little lake that is warm. Fun to hang out for the day or camp for a weekend!

We would like to camp at South Twin Lake and have a couple questions. One reviewer said that there were parasites in the lake in 2014 and that they ended up with a lot of bites. Is there any truth to this? Also, we are wondering if mosquitoes are a problem there in July as they are at so many other lakes in central Oregon.
