Beautiful forest to drive by on the way to Bend. Lot of green all around. Saw a Ranger Station nearby for safety. Worth spending a few hours

There is no way you can travel to this in a small car. You need a truck, gas guzzlers. That alone made us upset.

The scenic byway was enjoyable. We had pick nick lunch at Lava Lake. It was not crowed and was quite. A number of the lakes were very busy.

This National Forest is one of my favorites. Pine trees and the Deschutes River make for a great vacation.

To many hiking trails to count and a river that is home to all kinds of recreational activities. Hiking, biking, rafter, tubing, swimming and sight seeing. This river is so clear you can in some places see the rocks on the bottom.

A visit to this area of Oregon must include the Deschutes National Forest.

Very pretty, very quiet, excellent road. It is a beautiful part of the country with many little lakes, each seem to have their own resort or campground.

Beautiful and FULL of both hiking and mountain biking trails. Well maintained - although the signage leaves a bit to be desired - it's quite lacking

You can't go wrong with a visit to the national forest. Though the best experiences are in the lower visitor impact areas.
