After a respite, we have returned to this body of water because it boasts the biggest trout in the area. It is an absolute delight to hook into 20 inch, 4 lb. rainbows that can pull the rod out of your hand. And you best...More

Ready to go camping? Here is a wonderful area to enjoy the out of doors. Some campgrounds in the area have cold cold cold water to pump out of the ground. Lots of areas where the springs of water just jump out of the ground.

Crane is one of the best still water fishing you will find in Central OR. Plenty of Rainbows to go around. Can get windy. Not much bank fishing but float tubes work great and of course boats.

Once in a lifetime experience. We were driving on the lakes loop highway just west of the northern side of the lake. A sight to behold.

I like Crane Prairie for the great waterfowl- including Osprey! Others love the fishing here. The entire High Cascade Lakes region has so much to offer- it's definitely a great place to visit. I particularly like Crane Prairie in the full moon and also mid...More
