Nice local walk. This is a great neighborhood forest area. It is fully shaded so great on a warm day. The trail is dirt, unfortunately, wish it were paved so my shoes wouldn't get so dusty and dirty but it is small and easy to get around and walk.

This 30-acre forested park is a beautiful, quiet oasis in the middle of a residential neighborhood. It features well-maintained trails, with a slight grade, for walking or running. At the southeast corner of the park, there's also a small area that's been marked off for "nature play" - meaning little ones can go off-trail to play make-believe or look for bugs, etc. If you bring your dog, please follow leash and poop-scoop laws. It's usually not heavily used, so if you're visiting the Beaverton area and want a quiet nature break, this is a great place to seek out. Easily accessed off Murray Blvd.

I don thin too many people know about this. But is a cool place. Nice for calming down and grounding. Kind of my go to place when things are a bit stressful.

Great forested park smack in the burbs. So easy to forget where you are as you wander among the trilliums (early spring) under the towering canopy.
A delightfully cool spot on those sweltering summer days

This is the best nature park in THPRD. The trails are covered in bark chips. The trees are tall and provide shade for the ferns and trilliums to grow. This park added an off trail natural play area where children are encouraged to get off the trail and build a lean-to with loose sticks and play and have fun like they are meant to do. The trails are not paved, and there is mild elevation change from one end of the park to the other. It is not wheel chair or stroller friendly. It is get off the trail and explore the woods friendly with children. It is also a nice place for a walk in the summer. The tall trees provide plenty of shade in the summer. My wife and I love to walk here in the spring when the trilliums are in bloom. A little forest in Beaverton (Lowami Woods used to be just as nice, but THPRD paved all the trails there and posted stay on trail signs all over lowami woods - making Hyland Forest natural woods area the best!).

there are lots of trail to explore and a cute natural free play area for the kids. the free play area is where kids are encouraged to play in the trees and among the logs that are scattered about.

Been here many times because it is close to home. Generally quiet, woodsy trails. Native plants and some owls nested last winter.

I live in this neighborhood and really love taking a break and walking here. When it's hot outside it is several degrees cooler in the forest. It is a little small, so if you want a long walk you have to loop around a few times, but there are different paths you can explore. If it has been raining a lot it can be a little muddy, but not as bad as I think it will be sometimes.
