The Junior League has partnered with the Historical Society for several functions including a monthly meeting and most recently our annual GEM Gala. It's beautiful, historical and delightful every single time.

The museum is nicely done, but could use better interpretive material for the visitor that doesn't know anything about Tulsa. There is no overview history of the city, the film wasn't working and the staff were not particularly helpful.

We are so sorry to hear that! Since you visited we have actually added a permanent "Timeline" exhibit that includes artifacts as an overview of Tulsa history, because of feedback like yours. If you will e-mail us at ths@tulsahistory.org, I would love to give you a free admission pass to come back and see "Boomtown" More

Walk around and enjoy the grounds. Be sure to take in the nearby greenhouse as well as Woodward Park. A relaxing afternoon.

Tulsa Historical Society is worth the visit! The very nice museum is located next to beautiful Woodward Park in Mid-Town Tulsa. The museum staff was very friendly, welcoming, and archetypically nerdy. The attendant made sure to personally point out many items of interest and gave me some very good anecdotes and stories about artifacts in the museum. I greatly enjoyed... More

It is worth a trip just to take photos with the ballerina statues(located on the yard outside the Tulsa historical society). These nice sculptures of true ballet stars make for a fun 3/4 hour or so . My friend and I struck poses similar to the dancers and had a great time.

After living here for many years I finally got to visit and was not disappointed. We had company from out of town and this visit game them a good taste of the history of Tulsa. The history of the building that houses the Tulsa Historical Society was pretty interesting on it's own. We were pleased with the choice to visit.

More of a "local" museum since so much of the history is Tulsa's; so you would want to have lived in Tulsa to enjoy the exhibits. They do offer "party / wedding" venue

This is, as the title of this review says, a narrowly defined historical museum. Not Oklahoma history, just the history of Tulsa. Except that, at the time I went (earlier this week), they had a display on the history of toys. According to the website they have a revolving set of displays, and some that are there now will be...
