This could be such a great place. It has beautiful architecture. The musicians that play there are great. However, the main concert room sounds awful. On the... More

A lovely converted historic train depot. Attended a very good jam session in the smaller room. The acoustics in the big room leave a lot to be desired when there's music performances. Lots of interesting artworks all throughout.

Interesting place to visit, good music being played. Backstory is that there are a lot of big ego's trying to run this place for their own ends not to support the history or the music makers

Living in Kansas city area we love jazz and was really looking forward to seeing this and boy was it a disappointment. A few pictures even less instruments. 1 small entrance and a few pics in a very short hallway. You can see it all in 10 minutes. The only good thing was that it was free and on Tuesday... More

I was lucky enough to get to this place with the right weather for an amazing view, there is also lots of places around it, that are a site in its self (center of the universe & a... More

So many things happened here. I even departed on my first train trip from this building in the Fall of 1970. Beautiful building with a wonderful history.

Mostly contemporary and classic jazz but you may also hear blues, folk, big bands, bluegrass, western swing or a bassoon group practicing for their next gig. Tuesday night jam sessions for jazz and blues are free and very interesting. Other nights feature local, regional and national artist, check the web site for current events. Parking could be better so arrive... More
