There are many awesome exhibits in this center, although I felt that there was a lot of material to read about each item. I know that is the best way to educate yourself about the exhibits, but it tended to be too wordy and I ended up not reading most of them. There were lots of audio areas as well,... More

Strangely enough, this seems to be centered on oil. I would divert only about 25 miles to get to this museum. It is not bad, but the layout requires a lot of back-tracking to see all the displays. The oil industry section is realr good, the native peoples was at best mediocre. This again is because there was not any... More

We were spring breakers with teenagers in tow. We spent HOURS here and I know we did not see everything. The docents were around, available, knowledgeable and very patient and friendly with questions. I like how logically the displays were grouped and I especially liked the sod house. The gift shop was really well stocked with Oklahoma items and native... More

Large collection of Oklahoma history that was quite interesting. While I learned a great deal, I noticed the the Museum presented a view of history that was overly positive. It was missing a great deal of the history. The rough periods were missing. There was a great of coverage on Native Americans, but story of Trail of Tears and the... More

This is a wonderful place to visit with history on several famous Oklahomans. Some of the highlights I enjoyed were the Hollywood section and the First Ladies of Oklahoma dresses. Many different exhibits, that everyone in the family will enjoy from children to grandparents.

the staff is friendly and helpful. the exhibits are in sections that flow well together. I went for my second visit with my sister, brother-in-law and my teen nephew. My nephew is home schooled and this was his field trip to complete Oklahoma history, the museum allows pictures except flash photograhy. The snack bar is CLOSED now, which is a... More

The Oklahoma History Center is the epitome of everything "Oklahoma". The exhibits are very well thought out. So much thought and effort put in to conveying the very essence of the history of the state. You will especially appreciate the Oklahoma History Center if you grew up in Oklahoma. Highly recommend checking out this museum. It's one of our favorite... More
