Description:

The Myriad Botanical Gardens is one of Oklahoma City’s most beloved public...

The Myriad Botanical Gardens is one of Oklahoma City’s most beloved public spaces, offering its visitors a 15 acre natural escape in the very heart of the metro known as downtown Oklahoma City.

A children’s garden, an off-leash dog park, the Park House restaurant, “splash fountains,” as well as paths for walking and jogging provide guests young and old with a place in which to find solitude with nature or seek community and the company of others. The Myriad Gardens provides an elegant backdrop for events both large and small, ranging from concerts at the Bandshell to intimate weddings in the Crystal Bridge Conservatory.

Additionally, the Myriad Gardens offers a variety of horticultural education programs for adults and children. Classes range from story reading, making chocolate, wreath-making workshops to the annual Oklahoma Gardening School and more.

Thanks to a multi-million dollar renovation partially funded by the city, as well as a general revitalized interest in a vibrant downtown, the Gardens quickly is becoming an integral symbol of the new Oklahoma City and those who call it home.

We visited the outside garden which was lovely to walk around. There was a very long queue for the botanical garden itself so we didn't enter as we were very short on time. We must have just arrived on a very busy children/school visit day.

My 5-year old daughter has been interested in growing flowers & plants, loves butterflies, birds, and does a fantastic job maintaining tropical fish with her dad. I thought she would enjoy a visit to Myriad Botanical Gardens. I also have a baby boy who was not yet 3-months old when we went. Prior to our visit, I called and asked... More

Myriad Botanical Gardens is a beautiful, free outdoor space. We enjoyed walking around the paths and enjoyed listening to the live music. There's a small outdoors water park area for the kids and you can walk along the canal below. There are also paddle board rentals being offered on the canal as well. This is a great place to go... took children here and they enjoyed the sites. They were preschool aged, so it was only exciting for so long. The gardens outside were fantastic for everyone.

Had a wonderful with family from out of town. It was actually a first for all of us. We went on Good Friday and it was free to the public, which was a nice surprise. The gardens were lovely and we had a fantastic time.

The location of the garden is perfect and good for walking. Saw several yoga classes taking places while i stayed and that seemed very fun! Location is perfect and it is kid friendly.

Not only has there been a lot of updates here, it was gorgeous place before. Fabulous place for Mother's Day, but think of date night. Exotic plants and waterfalls. Very calming and peaceful. Great educational tool for children. I have enjoyed this garden in all four seasons. Beautiful!

I went the first time with a friend who had donated a large plant to the gardens. I was thrilled to see the plant thriving there. Since I have a green thumb and love plants and flowers, I love going here - many times. The Gardens are beautiful and colorful. Go during the Christmas season to hear beautiful choirs serenading... Visited to come to the concert series, a nice show that is free to the public. Walked the grounds a bit, it is a very nice facility, well landscaped. The concert was a nice addition. Two negatives - Parking. I guess we got lucky, and found on-street parking near the amphitheater, but that is all that is available. We did... More
