About
Myriad Botanical Gardens is one of Oklahoma City’s most beloved public spaces, offering its visitors a 15 acre natural escape in the heart of downtown. A half-acre children’s garden, an off-leash dog park, splash fountains, and paths for walking and jogging provide guests young and old with a place to seek solitude with nature, or seek community and the company of others. The Gardens offers a variety of horticultural education programs for adults and children. The centerpiece attraction of the Gardens is the Inasmuch Foundation Crystal Bridge Conservatory. Its unique design has earned attention and praise in the architectural community. It is 224 feet long, 70 feet in diameter, and is covered by 3,028 sections of translucent, double-layered acrylic panels. After an 18-month, $11 million renovation, it reopened to the public on November 18, 2022.

- DavigetaSaint Louis, Missouri1,122 contributionsA beautiful place downtown. This garden is just west of Bricktown. Most of it is free, though the Conservatory on the grounds is not. The gardens are quite beautiful. There is an outside amphitheater there. Right now, they are setting it up for a children's event celebrating Halloween. The decorations are wonderful! You have to pay for nearby parking, in 15 minute-intervals. The Conservatory itself was pretty nice as well, displaying tropical species with placards discussing their uses and such. A beautiful spot in OKC.Visited October 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 3 October 2023
- grammaleenPuyallup, Washington20 contributionsAmazing !Always love going to a states botanical gardens, on our travels. This one was one of my favorites, because outside of the conservatory was some of the most beautiful landscaping architecture like I’ve never seen before! Just stunning with a Koi fish pond the size of a small lake and beautifully tiered beds of bushes , trees and flowers ! You will love it!Visited May 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 17 May 2024
- Ian H4 contributionsGorgeous GardensThe landscape around the interior gardens is well maintained and a pleasure to look at. The inside of the building you need to pay to access but is well worth the price of admission. Many beautiful species of plants to look at and the building itself is cool to see and walk around in.Visited May 2024Travelled soloWritten 28 May 2024
- kimberlietxKeller, Texas215 contributionsA must see!FANTASTIC! The Myriad gardens are free. Free! (Except for the Conservatory.) Go and enjoy the beautifully landscaped gardens and see more native plants in perfect placement. The place is gorgeous. And then go to the Conservatory. Yes, it costs, but it is worth every single penny! The living collections are so well curated for plant variety and exhibit interest. I loved the carnivorous section. If you can stand the heat, the cacti were really cool. Take water with you. Seriously. It's so warm and humid inside that you'll start to get dizzy after being there a while. And you won't want to miss anything! Look for the air conditioned room on the 2nd floor with the fabulous wall murals, and stroll along the catwalk for a view like no other!Visited May 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 1 June 2024

- gwardbeelerBoston, Massachusetts789 contributionsOasis in the CityThis is an oasis in the city. Beautiful tropical plants, well maintained. Very peaceful. Go early, when it first opens, as the inside gets very warm as the sun bakes through. The gardens outdoors are very nice and peaceful, and offer lots of shade to stroll on a hot day. Great stop if you are in downtown OkC.Visited July 2024Travelled soloWritten 13 July 2024
- LindaODellOklahoma City, Oklahoma8 contributionsOasis in the cityI'm a local so I visit the Gardens often. I love it. Peaceful walking trails to view thousands of flowers and plants. Lots of photo ops. Close to restaurants & historic places. Inside their Crystal Bridge a beautiful waterfall, all sorts of fascinating flowers & plants. 3 levels to view. Fun gift shop. Kids area. Fun events of all kinds. Workshops to learn about gardening. Festivals such as the Tulip Fest. Everything is worth the trip. Locals love our oasis in the city.Visited July 2024Travelled soloWritten 16 July 2024
- Gardengel-IoWWest Sussex, United Kingdom1,014 contributionsJust lovelyWe walked here from The Holiday Inn. The Garden is free, you only have to pay to go inside the Crystal Bridge, which we did, but all other planting/landscaping outside is free to see. Beautiful. Water around, ducks and koi. Everything else built up around like the water is at the bottom of valley. Most of the photos for the reviews on this Garden are of the inside of the Crystal Bridge. Crystal Bridge; the usual conservatory/greenhouse planting but done very well and upper viewing gallery. Not sure worth the $9 for itself but if you include outer space then definitely. Walked from here to Scissortail Park and bridge, itself a nice space.Visited June 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 25 August 2024

Since temperature was extremely high that day we chose to go early in the morning and walk around the outside grounds to enjoy it in cooler weather and then chose to go inside. Grounds were very pretty and I realize in September they wouldn't have as many flowers but it was still pretty. Overall it was a nice garden but I have been to better. Crystal bridge I did expect more but it was still nice.

The best thing about Myriad Gardens is going into the conservatory (Crystal Bridge) which is paid, but well worth it. It's beautifully designed with a waterfall inside, and the descriptions of the plants inside is very interesting, including having slots through which you can smell different scents of the plants. The plants are organized by use, such as smell for perfume, texture for making a Panama Hat, medicinal, to eat, etc. Probably a one-hour visit. The gardens include an amphitheater and it's a nice walk around a large manmade pond/reflecting pool that has Koi fish.

One of the best things about visiting the Great Plains in Spring is seeing the parks and botanical gardens, and this one in OKC is fabulous. The combined diversity and quantity of botany and architecture on display in the single block of downtown is an amazing MUST SEE. I have been to some great gardens but to see it all in a single city block is incredible, outside and inside, open space and shade, water features and stadium seating. If you like plants this is an attraction worth coming to Oklahoma. I love plants and this place was so unexpected and incredible, really an attraction accident. Finally this is a great amenity and feature for downtown OKC, be sure to spend time here.

The outdoor gardens and water features are free for all to enjoy in this downtown oasis of beauty. Only the Myriad Botanical Gardens that are indoors cost to experience. We are members of NARM so did not have to pay. There is a one-way walkway that traces from desert to tropics with abundant, beautiful, intersting, and appropriate plantings. The pathway crosses over a sky bridge and has a number of Kodak Moment waterfalls. There are signs identifying certain plants, but it is often difficult to know to which plant the sign belongs. A wonderful place for all ages.

There isn't dining inside, is there? Food trucks nearby? What about the closest places to eat within walking distance?
Written 12 August 2017
I believe there was a restraint within but not entirely sure, dining nearby yes, not sure on price range
Written 13 August 2017
no.
Park is open but paid area enclosed garden is closed on Christmas.
Written 16 March 2017
My answer would be depends on what type of person you are. if you like to look at the plants, read the signs, stroll around the pond and take your time, I'd say 2 hours. If you're a walk through "That's a plant, that's a plant" type person, you can be done in about 20-30 minutes.
