The nature center is by far the best part of this state park. The staff are enthusiastic and very helpful. There were lots of exhibits and birds at all the feeders. We were impressed!

Live close by. Love to drive by and see the sun setting on the lake. Great trails for walking or riding. Love the marina.

The lake is red and mucky because of the red dirt in the area. The park is run down and not very clean. But the sunsets are beautiful.

Depends on which part of the lake you’re going to. It can be accessed from I40 at Choctaw road so that’s about 19 miles from downtown.

They should just be paying for parking unless you’re in one of the pavilion areas. Those, you’re just paying for the pavilion and all overnight campers still have to pay for their spots. Hope that helps!
