The Frank Phillips Ranch was founded in 1925 and the Woolaroc Museum had a humble beginning four years later in 1929. The 3,700 acre wildlife preserve is home to more than 30 varieties of native and exotic animals and birds. It is a working ranch that maintains the animals for the enjoyment of our guests in a natural, protected setting. The Woolaroc Museum presents one of the world's most unique collections of Western art and artifacts; Native American pottery, baskets, beads, blankets and cultural art; historical displays; and one of the most complete collections of Colt firearms. Guests can also tour the Lodge, which was used as a place for Frank Phillips to entertain his friends and maintain business relationships. The Lodge abounds with tales of the parties, business events and wilder goings-on.

This was the first time I've been back to Woolaroc in over 20 years and I felt like a kid again. The museum is wonderful, the paintings are beautiful and the land itself along with the animals are absolutely stunning. I highly recommend a trip to Woolaroc.

I'm not much of a nature preserve guy, but this is so much more. It is more of a peaceful portal into the past. The historical perspective is quite fascinating. If nothing else, it's a beautiful place to bring a picnic and enjoy the gentle breeze and nature at its finest. Take the time to explore this quiescent piece of... More

A great historical place for kids and old alike! Was there as a kid, took our kids there when they were kids and went again last year! Still enjoyable history!

Don't miss this treasure! We came an hour before closing, they stamped our ticket, and we were able to come back the next day. The animals roam freely, the lodge is a museum of exciting history, and the artwork/artifacts at the museum is exceptional for cowboy and Indian art. All the docents were so friendly. Great experience!

It's a great place all year...in winter to drive through and see the lights with the kids. You can also get out and go see different things inside and out .

Educational and fun for my granddaughters who had never seen buffalo, or been close to real animals in a petting zoo.

This is an annual trip for our family. Lots of lights to see and a wagon ride also-be sure to check out the electric horseman!! There are cookies and hot chocolate sold in the Lodge and a hamburger shack available also. Museum is open with Santa available for the kids. Long lines and lots of people-but that is part of... What a wonderful preservation of Oklahoma history! There is so much information available in this museum and the wildlife preserve is fascinating. So thankful that Mr. Phillips and the City of Bartlesville had the foresight to preserve a period of time we will not ever see again!
