Plenty of parking. There is a large beach and walking paths with ball diamonds, exercise stations and picnic areas. The real deal is to be there for sunset with cedar point in the background. Its a great place to see the sunset.

A great location for watching the sunset over Cedar point. Don't forget to watch the submarine races while you are there...

I have lived in Vermilion my whole life and my Grandma always took me to Sherod. Back in the day, it was BEAUTIFUL. But now it seems that Vermilion would rather spend their money on making more parks than maintaining the ones we have. The grass is neglected and the beach looks pitiful with all those dang zebra shells! Vermilion... More

I like going there to walk the beach and look for lucky stones, drift wood and gem stones but in recent years the zebra mussel shells have taken over the beach need to figure out how to clean them up and use them in composting.

We love Sherod Park. There are walking trails that wind through the grassy park, a stream running through the center, exercise stations, picnic pavilions, baseball & soccar fields. Best of all, benches along the lakefront, situated perfectly for watching sunsets.

This is a beach not many people know about. It was quite private. Not only is there a beach, but also there is a nice walking trail. The beach is a hidden treasure that not many know about so if you go, you'll likely be alone. Plus, you can take your fur friends.

For a very relaxing, beautiful, and peaceful time on the shores of Lake Erie everyone should stop here. On the Lake Erie Shoreline route 6, one can travel all the way to the west coast of the United States. Sherod Park is just outside the city limits of Vermilion, Ohio. So many conveniences at your disposal. Wonderful benches upon the... More

Sherod Park is a large area located on Lake Erie. There's a lot of variety of areas for you to enjoy. Large grassy areas, areas shaded with trees, picnic areas for family events, baseball fields, a walking path, etc. If you're looking for a place to enjoy an outdoor activity, this is a good place to go!
