Oak openings has many walking trails available. Fun place to host events, weddings, and the like. It's a great place for a family hike, or bike ride.

Beautiful and peaceful any time of year. You will go back again and again. The trails, picnic areas, are plentiful. Great place for family reunions.

Depending upon the trail taken, there are sand dunes, forests, a few ponds and a bike trail. There are even parts of the park devastated by a tornado in 2010 which they have allowed to come back naturally so there are areas of very young...More

The biggest park around the Toledo area has something for everyone. Numerous hiking/walking trails in different kinds of terrain, camping, cookouts, playground, fishing, even bring your own horse and ride on park trails.

Yes, dogs are welcome as long as they are leashed.

As long as you do not leave your car unattended, there should not be a problem with leaving your trunk open. As for Oak Opening, the parking lot is relatively close to the Mallard Lake, but not adjacent to it.

I strongly recommend a reservation, especially in July.
