We played in the summer with a scheduled tee time on a weekday.
It seems the times were behind early and escalated during the morning.
Very crowded and starter pushing all groups-we found out later an outing was scheduled for afternoon.
Nice tract-but without discount voucher, not worth what they charge .

Course was very average but management of tee times was awful. Our tee time was scheduled for 11:54 and the 1st tee was backed up over 20 min and we finally got to the 1st tee at 12:20. Then the round was then well over 5 hours.
Not recommended unless you have 6 hours to spare.

Located next to the Columbus Zoo it offers a nice rolling terrain with mature trees and plenty of water to contend with. A long taxi drive from downtown but doable. Well maintained and owned by the city of Columbus.

The course is not very well maintained-sand traps need sand, there are weeds growing in the tee boxes, the greens etc need watered. The staff isn’t very helpful or friendly. And if you want anything from the restaurant on the weekends no cook is available so you can pretty much only get snacks. There are plenty of carts. It is a very spread out course so if you walk, you will put in plenty of miles. It’s tight and challenging with a lot of trees. Honestly, some of them need cleaned up. The prices are decent for tee times.

The Safari Golf course is across the street from the Columbus Zoo. The course is a par 72 and 6,144 yds. from the white. It has a driving range, chipping area and putting green on the premise. Although you can get into some trouble, I rate the course "medium" in difficulty. The layout is very scenic and the course was in great shape. The $37.50 for18 and cart or $26.00 - senior rate is more than I would normally pay, however it is owned by the Zoo so you are helping the cause. In fact get an early tee time and after you finish enjoy the rest of the day at the zoo.
