This was the best time I have spent visiting a museum in a long time. I stopped later in the afternoon on a Saturday and received a memorable tour by the two tour guides teaching that day. The well organized displays show the development of floor sweepers from early models to the those of out time. World War II activities... More

Fascinating collection of vacuum cleaner and family memorabilia that captures the design creativity that goes into common household products.

Even if you don't know anything about North Canton, chances are you've owned a sweeper -- or more specifically, a Hoover! This little gem of a museum is both fun and interesting. A "must do" for anyone passing through the area or visiting.

I have to admit, I didn't know this place even existed! Christine, our guide, was extremely knowledgeable about the Hoover history. We got to see the development of the vacuum over the years. Definitely a place to stop in and visit!

It was inspiring to hear the stories of the life of William Henry Hoover, and the Hoover Company. The tour guide had a passion for history. The tour takes about an hour and it's free.

This is a guided tour of two historic buildings. My son loved this place! Artifacts aren't behind glass and the knowledgable tour guides made the experience even better. They answered his questions and seemed to enjoy sharing their site with us.

The boyhood home of William Henry Hoover. Tours are at 1, 2, 3 and 4 PM on Thursday, Friday or Saturday. They have some antique vacuums.

To learn that the Hoover family (not related to President Hoover) was famous for more than vacuum cleaners and invented so many different things unrelated to vacuum cleaners, was absolutely fascinating. To find that the cost of the guided tour was a donation of one's choosing was also a nice surprise, and the staff was so gracious and helpful. I... More
