Nice course, would play here again. Crowded, but pace of play was not bad, all things considered. Nice clubhouse, did not have much of a fall rate reduction.

I've been playing Shale Creek since it opened and it's been my favorite course in NE Ohio ever since. It's challenging but fair, always in great shape. It's wide open for the most part, which means it's also always windy. Water and sand come into play on a number of courses but never to the point where you feel the obstacles are unfair. The driving range and a bottle of water are included in the price of a round and the pro shop and restaurant are both good. The staff is friendly and helpful. Fun course to play.

The course is well kept and quite a challenge to the average golfer. From the blue tees: Blue 6288yds 69.8 rating 125 slope 35.7/128 front nine 34.1/122 back nine. The club house as both indoor and outdoor dining and beverages. There is a driving range on site as well as the usual practice putting green. I believe you will find it a very nice round of golf.

My guys and I had an enjoyable experience. Golf course was in great condition. It would be even better if the patrons would fix the ball marks on the greens. Staff was great.

Looking for a preferred golf course south of CLE, and played Shale Creek on a Wednesday morning.
PROs
- Course is in excellent condition given the amount of rain in recent weeks
- "Dynamic" pricing got us a good deal for a threesome
- Granite Grill served good lunch food at basically reasonable prices
- The course is relatively wide open, given its location among cookie-cutter houses in a seemingly new development
CONs
- Their online booking system was not functional when we reserved a tee time. Called the course, and they said, "Call the booking agent" for issues, and refused to charge us the online rates when its non-functioning was their problem - which they made OUR problem.
- Two carts: the GPS was not working on #1, and #2 should immediately be relegated to a work crew. No windshield, no GPS unit (the brackets were still there) and it was a gas cart among what seemed to be an electric fleet.
- The bag boys were completely disinterested in anything other than riding back & forth in their own cart. Not a great first impression.
- It was accordion golf; a senior twosome behind us was speed-golfing while the foursome in front was at their leisure. And neither a starter nor a marshal on the course.

Shale Creek is a fun place to play, but mgmt needs to nudge the quality of the front-end staff up a notch or two. Then it would be an excellent place to play.
We'll go back, because it's close and not over-played. But it could be so much better...

This course was in beautiful shape. We had a great experience. The sandwiches at the Granite Grill were also tasty. Drinks were a little steeply priced for that location.

I am sure this was a beautiful course a few years ago- it now sits in a neighborhood. Aside from that, it is in really good shape. A lot of water and tall grass comes into play, so you will lose balls if not careful. It is a fun enough course, with a nice patio that overlooks 18. Not sure I would make the drive out again, we are closer to Quarry, but would play if in the area.

When in Medina, this is an absolute must play coarse! This course is always meant with less fairways, true rolling greens, and challenging play! They have 4 tee boxes for different types of golfers. They also have free range balls prior to starting! Each hole is laid out a little bit different and poses it's on uniqueness. I will play here again and again and again! Check out their deals on golfnow app! Swing your sticks here, you'll thank me!

We went with friends for a prime rib buffet with a Frank Sinatra show. The food was excellent. The show was good.
