This is really more of a model train store that has some toys, one of a kind finds, museum "pieces" and most certainly everything to do with model trains.
So don't go thinking it's a "museum" per say, but STILL worth a stop if you're in the area! Go have fun!

Stopped by during the Medina Ice Festival. It;s not really a model train museum but actually an operating hobby shop. Stuffed to the gills with product stacked EVERYWHERE, which due to the crowds made traversing the store difficult. Concentrates mainly on Lionel with a large selection of LGB and G gauge also. Large selection of German HO if your into that. Prices aren't competitive, but not a bad place to visit to see whats available.

Model cars, trains and parts, models to assemble, an assortment of retro toys. Fun to walk through all the retro eye candy and gab with the friendly owners.

The window displays alone make this place worth a visit. So cool to see a toy train store still in operation with a museum as well

I stopped by to look for items for a gift basket because the gift basket I was putting together the person loves planes and trains. It Was for sure not worth the trip. Both employees or owners did not even realize they had customers.

The owner/ employees never did approach me to help me get some ideas or what I was looking for. Never thank me for stopping by.

When my young cousin visited from Germany we were trying to figure out where to take him. Found out he was into trains so this seemed liked a good place to go. Having never been there I didn't know what to expect. While this is not a very big museum, I have to say I was very pleasantly surprised and so was my cousin. He really enjoyed the exhibits and surprised me with his extensive knowledge of trains. This is also above a store where you can buy all kinds of different model trains and all that goes with that hobby (not a typical museum gift shop but a real hobbyist's store). If you're into trains, this is a fun and inexpensive way to kill an hour or so.

I guess if you're into this stuff, you may find this place interesting. Really, the Medina Toy and Train "Museum" is just a smelly building full of train parts and other various trinkets. Not worth your time. However, I will say that man at the register was helpful and friendly.

My husband is the train buff in the family and he was quite impressed with this little shop jam packed with the old, new and unusual. Even though I'm not a train person, I really enjoyed looking at everything. There are even a few airplanes and toy cars... along with a few other whimsical odds and ends to delight the eye no matter where you look.
